HYPE liquidations: questions and answers
What are HYPE liquidations?
The forced closing of HYPE positions on futures exchanges when the margin is no longer enough to hold them. Longs are liquidated when the price falls, shorts when it rises.
How do I read the long/short balance?
A skew to longs means buyers are being wiped out — the price was falling. A skew to shorts means sellers are being wiped out — the price was rising. A chain of liquidations in one direction often pushes the move further; that is called a cascade.
Where does the data come from?
Straight from the exchanges, through our own real-time streams: Binance, Bybit, OKX, Gate, HTX, HyperLiquid, Bitget and Aster DEX. The feed shows orders from $25K with their execution price; the source is named under the numbers.
Why do the totals differ from other services?
Every service has its own set of exchanges and coins, so the totals diverge. Here — our own real-time liquidation streams from eight exchanges.
How do I get alerts on large HYPE liquidations?
Add the Liquidation condition (Pro plan) in the QuickRadar builder: pick HYPE, a threshold from $25K and a side — longs, shorts or both. The message arrives in Telegram right after the order.
Why are HYPE liquidations shown across HyperLiquid and other exchanges?
HYPE trades as a perpetual contract on HyperLiquid itself and on centralized exchanges; we add up the streams of all eight venues and show the breakdown by exchange.
