Bitget funding rates today

Bitget pays funding every 8 hours on most pairs, and for some coins more often. We convert the rates to one interval and compare them with other exchanges — so you can see where Bitget funding sits above or below the market.

Funding on Bitget is a periodic payment between longs and shorts on a perpetual contract; on most pairs it settles every 8 hours. A positive rate means longs pay shorts, a negative one means the opposite. The rate is dynamic: it reflects the market imbalance — when longs outnumber shorts, the rate rises and turns positive. Whoever holds the position at the moment of settlement pays or receives.

Bitget funding rate: questions and answers

How often does Bitget pay funding?

On most perpetual contracts, every 8 hours. For some pairs the interval is different, and Bitget announces such changes officially. That is why rates are converted to one period for comparison: the table has “Per 8 hours”, “Per day” and “Annualized” switches.

How is the funding payment calculated on Bitget?

The payment equals the position value times the funding rate. A positive rate means longs pay; a negative one means shorts pay. The rate itself is dynamic and reflects the market imbalance: the heavier the long side, the higher the rate.

Who gets the funding money on Bitget?

Traders on opposite sides of the market: with a positive rate longs pay shorts, with a negative one shorts pay longs. Whoever holds a position at the moment of settlement pays or receives.

Where do I see the settlement time on Bitget?

In the app and on the site the settlement time is shown in your own time zone, set in your profile. Here all Bitget coins sit in one table next to other exchanges, so you can see where the rate is above or below the market.

Why do some coins on Bitget pay funding more often than every 8 hours?

The settlement interval on Bitget depends on the contract and can change by exchange announcement. In our table many Bitget coins settle every 4 hours. The rate per settlement is scaled to the interval, so rates of different coins are compared in one measure — per 8 hours or per day: the table has those switches.

How do I get an alert when the Bitget funding rate rises?

In the QuickRadar builder pick the “Funding rate” condition, the Bitget exchange, a coin and a threshold — the message arrives in Telegram as soon as the rate crosses it.
